We Moved — And It Was Perfect

Sometimes the best worship moments are the ones you didn't plan.
This morning, with summer heat pushing hard against our sanctuary's air conditioning, we made a quick call — move worship to the fellowship hall. Cooler air, closer together, and as it turns out, exactly the right setting for a sermon about leaving the familiar for something new.
Abram left Haran because the Voice said go. We left the sanctuary because the thermostat said enough. Close enough.
Today we began A Blessed People — a four-week journey through the life of Abraham and Sarah. Week 1 carried us into Genesis 12, where God speaks one word to a 75-year-old man with a full life and a comfortable address:
Go.
No map. No itinerary. No guarantee except the word of the one speaking.
And Abram went.
If you weren't with us this morning — or if you want to revisit the service — you can watch the full recording below. A heads up: today's worship was captured on a phone, so you may need to turn your volume all the way up for the best experience. The worship is all there.

We'll be back next Sunday, June 14, for Week 2 of A Blessed People — Sarah Laughed. In the sanctuary. With functioning A/C. The Lord willing and the thermostat cooperating.
Want to read the sermon? Pastor Dennis will post a written version on his Substack on Tuesday at substack.com/@dennispeay.
We are glad you are here — wherever here finds you today.
